This one-week high level comprehensive program is aimed to promote entrepreneurship in the field of Biotechnology. Entrepreneurship, Life Sciences and Venture Finance have been integrated in a progressive order of thematic clusters. With a common denominator — the creation and financing of BioEnterprises — they range from basics in BioBusiness to opportunity recognition and startup creation, including mandatory regulatory and legal aspects as well as financing, to end with an overview of possible exit strategies.
Working in teams, participants will be asked to design and develop a plan for a new business concept. One project team will receive the possibility to pitch to the MIT Alumni Life Science Angels in Boston.
Participants will be able to interact and network with biotechnology entrepreneurs and investors.
Several fellowships worth CHF 4’000 each and covering the whole registration fees are available for candidates with a business idea.
The program is tailored to the needs of individuals planning to create and finance successful biotechnology companies:
- Scientists and engineers wishing to commercialize drugs and technologies.
- Entrepreneurs and managers from pharmaceutical or biotech startups who wish to explore and gain an insight into the global biotechnology sector.
The number of participants is limited to 30.
Deadline for sending the application package (application form & CV of the applicant) to Heidrun.Flaadt@usi.ch is 15 March 2020. In case of further questions, please contact her.
